Ashlyn Everett

Founder and owner of Everett Law. Born and raised in Batesville, practicing where her roots are.

Ashlyn Everett, attorney and founder of Everett Law in Batesville, Arkansas

Ashlyn believes legal representation should be practical, honest, and approachable. Most people who call a lawyer are having a hard time, and she would rather help them get through it with some clarity than leave them guessing.

She graduated from Batesville High School, earned an Associate of Arts at the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville, where she was a Student Ambassador and president of the Student Government Association, then took a Bachelor of Science in Political Science with a pre-law emphasis from Arkansas State University.

Before law school she worked as a paralegal in Memphis on personal injury and subrogation cases. She then went to the University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law, where she clerked for a legal aid organization serving low-income Arkansans, worked in the Little Rock City Attorney's Office on Freedom of Information Act matters, and served as a Research Fellow with the National Agricultural Law Center. There she researched agricultural and environmental law and wrote publications and teaching material for attorneys and agricultural professionals around the country.

Since coming home to Batesville, she has built a practice representing individuals, families, landlords, small businesses, and municipalities across North Central Arkansas. She also serves as City Attorney for the City of Calico Rock, advising elected officials and city departments on ordinances, contracts, and FOIA compliance.

She would rather solve a problem before it turns into a dispute, and she is prepared to litigate when that is what a case needs.
